Lingay House offers a warm welcome into a family home,
providing bed & breakfast, and highly praised evening meals as well as a table licence.
Thank you to all of our guests who stayed with us over the past 4 seasons,
especially for your lovely comments, reviews
and generous compliments on our evening meals.
Much appreciated by our many guests from around the world since opening in June 2021,
especially for visitors travelling on the Hebridean Way, venturing to St. Kilda
or relaxing in the beautiful South of Harris.
Leverburgh Pier is just a 10 minute walk away
for the Calmac ferry to Berneray & North Uist
and the St Kilda boats.
Lingay House is in the heart of the village on the Hebridean Way
overlooks the Millpool, the entry loch for the salmon & sea trout system,
and beyond to the Sound of Harris and islands.
Within the village is Harris Community Co-op, for food, fuel & crafts,
as well as Borrisdale Tweed shop, churches and a surgery.
A few minutes drive away are St. Clement’s church in Rodel, Hebrides People Visitor Centre in Northton,
a dozen spectacular beaches,
the lunar landscape of the Bays and wildlife including sea eagles, corncrakes & otters.
Guest facilities are all on the ground floor
and include twin bedded rooms, a dining room, a relaxing lounge with views over the loch & beyond, laundry,
bike store & repair shed, WiFi , extensive local library
and off-road parking.
St. Kilda bound guests usually stay for three or four nights to cover their booking slots,
other guests stay for one night & upwards.
Breakfast is cooked to order each morning.
We specialise in providing a three course licensed dinner each evening.
St.Kilda bound guests have breakfast and dinner to match their boat times.
We can also help with a packed
lunch & lift to the St. Kilda boats,
as well as other guest friendly support.
As Lingay House is a family home with steep slopes we do not have disabled facilities,
nor can we accept pets.
